2005 - Breed 77
Taken from the "Cultura" album the new Australian release

of what Australian fans heard when the band hit the stage in February
for their first Australian visit as guest of The Butterfly Effect.

Look out
for Cultura - in Australian stores now
"... CULTURA matches almost anything coming from the biggest
bands right now; touched by and tinged with the brushstrokes of
master musicians who are finding their range and releasing years
of pent up frustration"
Malcolm Dome, Metal Hammer
If it's worth doing, it's worth
doing properly
.
Never a band for half measures,
BREED 77 plied their live trade the length and breadth of the
UK's rock clubs, building up a fanatical following but more importantly,
defining a sound and culturally infused approach in that most
testing of musical genres, ROCK.
Paul Isola (Vocals), Danny
Felice (Guitar), Stuart Cavilla (Bass) and Peter Chichone (Drums)
grew up in Gibraltar's scorched earthen back streets. With acumen
and vision, they relocated to London where they were joined by
Spanish (Barcelona) flamenco guitarist, Pedro Caparros. With musical
roots steeped in Zeppelin, Maiden and Floyd, the band fused North
African pentatonic scaling into their crazed rock world, creating
a sound so cultivated and diverse it is comparable to little in
the world of rock.
What Armenia gave to SOAD,
Gibraltar gave up more to BREED 77.
In 2003 the band signed to
highly acclaimed independent rock label, Albert Productions, the
Australian incubator of OZ rock and still world-wide publisher
of AC/DC. Searing raw talent combined with the 'Alberts' development
ethos has historically created an explosive mix, which, occasionally
produces an act with an exocet delivery potential on the international
stage
. There is both rarity and timing in finding
such artistry.
With a stunning live performance,
fiery conviction and an independent mind set, BREED77 launched
their 'CULTURA' album in the UK. Against mainstream media expectations
the band notched up three top 50 national chart singles with "La
Ultima Hora", "The River" and "World's On
Fire".
" At it's finest, CULTURA
matches almost anything coming from the biggest band right now;
touched by and tinged with the brushstrokes of master musicians
who are finding their range and releasing years of pent up frustration"
(Malcolm Dome, Metal Hammer,)
BREED 77 know who they are;
they know their message; they understand the depth of their ability;
they are humble; responsible; they take the knocks and get back
up again, confronting all the challenges the music industry can
muster; they are simply going to be a fucking monster band
.
